The Story of Maison Beauchamp

Winemakers for 13 generations...

Our story begins with a union, that of Madeleine and Michel Beauchamp in 1974. At that time, the vines and the wine had been known as Gérard since 1951. Madeleine and Michel, fully invested in distillation, took over the vineyards in 1980, giving birth to the first bottles of champagne bearing the name Beauchamp in 1983.

Years went by, carrying with them the desire to see the estate flourish. In the year 2000, the arrival of our very first press and our tanks for the harvest marked a decisive turning point.

Since that memorable day, our agricultural practices have evolved, driven by a spirit of independence and an unceasing quest for improvement. We prohibit the use of herbicides and other chemical fertilizers.

In 2016, we embraced a method still little known in Champagne: Agroforestry. This allows us to reduce our footprint on the soils, thus promoting a thriving underground life and leading us to obtain HVE certification. This transition has led us to adopt a philosophy that now guides every action in our vineyard: organic farming. We crossed this milestone by obtaining certification for our grapes for the 2023 harvest.

Maison Beauchamp is the story of a family and its lands, united by love, dedication, and respect for nature.

From the Vineyard to the Bottle

The secret of crafting our cuvée...

The steps involved in treating the vines are crucial in the creation of our cuvées. From the selection of grape varieties to manual harvesting, vinification, blending, and finally bottle fermentation, each step plays a decisive role. These processes, combining tradition and technology, are essential for creating exceptional champagnes that reveal the richness of the terroir and the expertise of the winemaker.
